Alexander J. Knights, PhD

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Dr. Alexander Knights hails from Sydney, Australia, and completed his undergraduate and graduate studies focusing on transcriptional regulation of immunity and inflammation in metabolic tissues. He pursued postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan, initially studying resident immune cells in fat and liver function, then shifting to musculoskeletal biology and cellular crosstalk in post-traumatic osteoarthritis and fracture healing. This work established his independent research program, earning him a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence grant from the NIH (NIAMS).
